We went to see “a very potter musical” last night

It’s a great show, we enjoyed it immensely. Voldemort was awesome and stole the show.

new iphone commercial parody.
We like to try weird food combinations. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. We happen to like root beer floats. We also happen to like peppermint ice cream. We tried a peppermint ice cream root beer float. It’s not a winner.
Shaolin monk doing a 2 finger hand stand. We looked for a picture of a one fingered hand stand and couldn’t find one.
The Shaolin Temple is believed to be the oldest martial arts training center in the world. The things these monks do are absolutely amazing. We’re gonna try one of their training exercises. We don’t think we will ever be able to do the hand stands on one or two fingers, but we are going to try the walking plank down stairs. If we don’t get injured we will report back. We won’t be doing it in the snow.
This is gettin kinda old. You’d think with all the unemployed people out there, that the TSA could manage to find some who aren’t criminals. If we haven’t mentioned it in awhile, we don’t much like the TSA. We think they are a bunch of ding dongs. Many are criminals and the government gives them power.

Great PSA on how to burn your house down frying a turkey. We think William Shatner is cool for an old guy.
We had a root beer float for lunch today or we should say instead of lunch. It was very pleasing. We think root beer floats are good for you. They are good for your mental well being.
We’re not kidding. There are at least two companies that sell surgeries in infomercials. Lifestyle Lift sells face lifts and Sonobello sells liposuction. Lifestyle Lift claims that they have done over 100,000 procedures and Sonobello claims to have done over 15,000. That’s a bunch of stupid people.
We’ve seen both of these company’s infomercials. Neither of them use the word surgery. Sonobello doesn’t use the word liposuction and Lifestyle does use the word facelift. They use words like medical procedure and rejuvenation procedure. That seems deceptively vague to us. Open heart surgery and a sonogram are both medical procedures but one is far more serious and dangerous than the other. We think deception is a bad way to start the doctor patient relationship.
We have no idea if these companies do a good job or not. We doubt if most of their customers have any idea either before their surgeries. That’s our main point here, we don’t think a TV ad is a good place to chose you surgeon. We’ve had multiple surgeries for various injuries and we’ve always gotten a referral from someone we trusted before we chose our surgeon.
We wonder how many of these people realize they hiring a surgeon based on an infomercial. We also wonder how many of these people don’t realize that these things are even surgery until after they’ve signed the contract.

We really like knives. The other day we went on a little field trip to a local knife maker here in Phoenix. The guy who owns the place makes most of the knives himself by hand. Most of his knives are for the military. His knives are all made to do specific jobs as tools. There are no foo foo designs, everything has a purpose. All his knives are built to take a beating and are serious business. He sells most of his knives to special forces guys like the Seals and the Night Stalkers. Blackwater and some other para military companies buy from him too. His web site is linked below. If you like knives, it’s worth a look.
